Questions about biometric attendance
Where is students' face data kept?
Face data stays on the terminal and in the vendor's system, where the face matching is done. TuitionSync keeps the link between each student and their device record, and the check-in events it receives.
Do we need a computer at each branch?
Only for face-recognition terminals on the branch network, where a small agent runs on a computer or server at the branch. A time-attendance cloud account and QR check-in need nothing extra on site.
Does a terminal check-in notify parents?
Yes, if you use arrival or absence alerts: a terminal check-in marks the student present and triggers the same alerts as attendance marked by a teacher.
