Take attendance by app, QR code or face

Everything in attendance

Teachers mark attendance in the teacher app, students check in with a QR code, and face-recognition terminals can record arrivals at the entrance. Every mark belongs to a session and shows how it was taken. Parents hear when their child is absent, and once attendance locks, only someone you allow can change it.

Marking in the teacher app
Teachers open today's session, mark everyone present in one tap and change the exceptions to absent, late or excused, with a reason. Marks made offline are saved on the phone and sent when the connection returns.
QR code check-in
Students scan the class QR code with the family app, or teachers scan each student's QR code. Either way, attendance is recorded against the right session with no extra hardware.
Face-recognition terminals
Connect face-recognition terminals at the entrance, and each recognised arrival becomes attendance for the student's session, matched by time rules you set for the branch, such as how early a check-in counts.
Absence alerts to parents
When a student is marked absent, guardians who receive notifications are told by push notification, SMS or WhatsApp, straight away or after a delay you choose. A follow-up can go out if the student arrives late.
Attendance locking
Attendance locks after the window your centre sets, so marks cannot be changed afterwards without permission to unlock them. Every change is kept in the audit trail with who made it and when.
Rules for repeated absence
Choose what happens when a student misses several classes in a row, such as stopping the enrolment automatically, and TuitionSync applies the rule for you instead of leaving it to memory.

Questions about attendance

Does attendance work without an internet connection?

Yes, the teacher app takes attendance offline. Marks are stored on the phone and sent in order when the connection returns, so teachers can keep working in rooms with a weak signal.

Do we need face-recognition terminals to use attendance?

No, terminals are optional. Teachers can mark attendance in the app and students can check in with QR codes on their phones; face-recognition terminals suit centres that want hands-free check-in at the entrance.

Can a teacher change attendance after class?

Yes, until the lock window your centre sets has passed. After that, changes need someone with permission to unlock attendance, and every change is kept in the audit trail.
